Abstract

The article contains in formation about the private library currently housed in the Museum of KashubianPomeranian Writing and Music in Wejherowo that had been donated by Gerard Labuda, who was anoutstanding profesor of medieval Poland. Also discussed are the activities connected with the donations and a description of the events which took place in Poland in the years 2015-2106 which were dedicated to Professor Labuda. In the year 2011, the museum received the private library from the estate of Professor Labuda which was donated through his will. The items were individually inventoried by workers at the museum. In order to keep them in one place and to give easy access to them it was decided to construct a separate building to house the private library of G. Labuda (including 26 thousand volumes as well as a wealth of other items). Since 2016 was the hundredth anniversary of the birth of Labuda, Zrzeszenie Kaszubsko-Pomorskie (Kashubian-Pomeranian Association) chose to label the year „The Year of Professor Gerard Labuda”. The Wejherowo museum was headquarters for the activities and events. In the article a calendar of the events is presented.
