Abstract

The aim of this paper is to examine Polish and Russian folk fairy tales in the context of the principles of persuasion proposed by Robert Cialdini. The article discusses the genre of fairy tale and its most characteristic features, together with the worldview it represents and its didactic values. The author also discusses the six principles of persuasion proposed by prof. R. Cialdini and carries out a practical analysis of occurrence of these principles in selected fairy tales in the context of moral values represented by their protagonists.
