Świat ugrofiński w leksykografii polskiej odzwierciedlony
AbstractThe paper provides a comprehensive description of the presence of the Finno-Ugric world in Polish lexicography, in the entries of the most significant dictionaries. The text emphasizes that so far only selective and scattered attempts have been made to show this phenomenon. The lexicographic material has been divided into terms related to research activities in the field of Finno-Ugric studies and the lexicon taken from the Finno-Ugric languages. The paper contains an index of Uralic terms (about 600 entries). The author shows the richness of the term Finno-Ugric studies (ugrofinistyka); this concept covers issues that are present in scientific research including history, geography, language, literature, as well as the folklore of peoples and nations who still speak languages belonging to the Uralic language family.
