Abstract

This article titled „The stones would immediately attest to my innocence. "The problem of innocence based on the dramas „Life and Death of St. Genoveva" (1800) by Ludwig Tieck and "Genoveva" by Friedrich Hebbel (1841) examines how the conception of Christianity and the presentation of guilt and innocence based on it influences the macro- und microstructure of the tragedies by Ludwig Tieck (Life and Death of St. Genoveva, 1800) and Friedrich Hebbel (Genoveva, 1841).
