Poezja czy gest? Obok wierszy Ireneusza Iredyńskiego

Artur Nowaczewski

Nowadays known mainly as a playwright and prose author, Ireneusz Iredyński had a successful debut as a poet. The article’s author discusses poetry collections published by the writer, attempting to present the circumstances that weighed in on the positive reception of his debut poems, the evolution of their poetics and seeking an answer to the questions of whether Iredyński was blessed with a lyrical talent, what role poetry played in his literary career and why the author of Dzień oszusta [A Day of a Swindler] disappeared from the literary scene as a poet.
