Mit o androgyne w utworze "Urywki" ["Отрывочное"], czyli Fiodor Sołogub oczami Zinaidy Gippius

Kinga Okroj

The article describes the concept of the androgyny in Zinaida Gippius’s Otrivochnoe (Отрывочное). The main character of the text is Fyodor Sologub – a poet and prose writer, representative of the first wave of Russian Symbolism. To create the image of the Sologub as androgynous creature Gippius presents the references to Plato’s myth of the androgynous and Vladimir Solovyov’s theories.
