"Nie poradzę sobie sam": poszukiwanie człowieka w sztuce Arnego Lygre pt. Znikam
AbstractThe article is an interpretation of the play I Disappear by the contemporary Norwegian playwright Arne Lygre. The starting point for the author of the article is the concept of man as a dramatic being, presented by a Catholic philosopher, Józef Tischner, among others in his Philosophy of drama. In Tischner’s view, man defines both himself and the world in dialogue with another man; in relation to the Other he creates his stage i.e. places that organize his existence in the world. Among the archetypical places that define man, Tischner mentions a house, a workshop, a temple and a cemetery. The author of the article emphasizes the function of a home in the world created by the Norwegian playwright. In addition, she interprets the strongly articulate theatricality of the characters (whose existence depends on dialogue and connections with the Other, without which Lygre’s “I” disappears) as a metaphor of the dramatic nature of man.
