AbstractRapidly changing realities (globalization, technology development) of the organization’s operations make the sources of current success quickly exhausted. The turbulent environment implies the need to search for the most effective business solutions guaranteeing competitive advantage. Family enterprises, according to various statistics and research, are responsible for the production of up to 80% of global GDP. Similar calculations reflect the character of Polish family enterprises. Like any organization, they face a number of problems on their way as part of their activities. The process approach in managing the organization may be a solution that allows family businesses to adopt the system of activities, from strategy planning to implementation, and also in a field of marketing and R&D, to the turbulent environment. This approach, focusing on processes in the organization, perfectly fits into the character and specific characteristics of services: immateriality, indissolubility, instability, diversity.
