Zwei Akzente im "Classroom Management": Professionalität und Raum. Perspektiven für den Fremdsprachenunterricht

In didactics of foreign languages one can rarely encounter the subject of space and the concept of classroom management. In fact, since 2015 it has been possible to notice some interest in space (Badstübner-Kizik 2015, Cerri & Jentgens 2015, Hallet 2015, Rozenberg 2015b), yet the number of publications and articles connected with systematic research in foreign language teaching and learning has not been considerable. Pedagocial concept of classroom management takes a weak position, which places still professional stress – the topic of professionalism – in the centre of vivid discussion and extensive research on the job of a teacher. Moreover, classroom management will be looked at from spatial perspective. In this perspective – still spatial stress – spatial dialectic formed and possible to be formed (room und space) gives pedagogical space (classroom) some outlines. In this background the leading thought of this article is examining relations between professionalism and space and posing the ques-tion how these relations influence the foreign language lesson.
