Abstract

This article introduces issues connected with critical, emancipatory and material aspect of today’s pedagogy. The basis for those considerations are the achievements and research of Paulo Freire, a Brazilian scientist and philosopher of education who advocated for a pedagogy of radical emancipation. Today his ideas are still valid and inspirational for modern Polish researchers who are developing, amongst others, the “pedagogy of objects”.
